About Alberto

Alberto started his Jazz studies on the Pablo Sarasate Superior Conservatory (Pamplona, Spain), finishing with Honors and having the Award to the best musician of his graduating year.

After this Award, he moved to Amsterdam (Netherlands), where he studied "Saxofon Jazz Bachelor" in Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, having classes from Dick Oatts, Gerald Clayton, Ferdinand Povel, Dave Douglas, Gary Foster and Don Menza, among many others, having the award to the Best Instrumentalist of his year.

On 2014 he recorded BAT the first record of "Alberto Arteta Band". And in 2016 he records his second CD: "The Legacy. Nowadays, he is playing in a long amount of Jazz Festivals and seasons with this new Band.

Alberto has taken part on a huge list of records, in this point they have to be highlighted: Anaut - Time goes on (2016) , Jorge Garrido Monk Trío - Vintage (2015), Mauro Urriza Group - Blues for Oteiza (2014), Kike Arza Quintet - Currículum (2013), Anaut - 140 (2012), Broken Brothers Brass Band – In the mud (2014), The life we deserve (2012), etc..

Nowadays, Alberto Arteta is working as Sax Jazz Professor on the Pablo Sarasate Superior Conservatory of Navarra (Spain) and he leads his own project: Alberto Arteta Group, Jazzy Leap Band, Kike Arza Trío, Anaut, Jean Marie Ecay Quartet, Jorge Garrido Trío, Kike Arza Quintet, Ulrich Calvo Group... including the collaboration in the record of some of these Bands.
